Hotel Manager - Independent B&B
Blackpool | £32,000-£36,000 DOE | Live-in AvailableAre you an experienced Hotel Manager, small-hotel General Manager or strong Front Office Manager who enjoys being hands-on and taking full ownership of a property?
We're looking for a Hotel Manager to run the day-to-day operation of an independent B&B in Blackpool, including serviced apartments and a continental breakfast offering.
This is a genuinely hands-on role, with responsibility for the full guest experience, rooms operation and general running of the property. The hotel is busiest at weekends, giving you the week to focus on room cleaning, preparation and general standards, with access to a talent bank of housekeepers and receptionists when additional support is needed.
The role
You'll be responsible for the smooth running of the operation, including:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the B&B and serviced apartments.
- Hands-on rooms management, including personally cleaning and preparing guest rooms during quieter periods.
- Managing reservations, arrivals, departures and guest relations.
- Overseeing the continental breakfast offering.
- Managing suppliers, maintenance and general property standards.
- Handling guest queries and resolving issues.
- Ensuring the property runs smoothly, particularly over weekends.
The hotel is generally quieter during the week and operates at its busiest over weekends, so this role will suit someone who is comfortable working independently, managing their time effectively and being practical as well as operational.
What we're looking for
We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in a small independent hotel, B&B or serviced accommodation operation.
You may be a:
- Small-hotel General Manager.
- Hotel Manager from an independent property.
- Strong Front Office Manager with excellent rooms and operational knowledge.
- Deputy General Manager ready to take full responsibility for a hotel.
You'll need to be hands-on, organised and confident overseeing the full guest journey, with a strong understanding of rooms management, housekeeping standards and day-to-day hotel operations.
Previous experience personally cleaning and preparing guest rooms, or a genuine willingness to do so, is essential. It is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the detail, takes pride in the property they manage and is comfortable working independently.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
