We're looking for an experienced Banqueting Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef to join the culinary team at a luxury 4-star resort in the West Midlands.

This is a large-scale banqueting operation covering weddings, conferences, gala dinners and major private events, with the largest space accommodating up to 600 guests for a dinner.

It's an excellent opportunity for a chef who wants to develop their leadership experience and work at a scale that few hotel operations can offer.

The Role
Working closely with the senior kitchen team, you'll help lead the banqueting operation and deliver consistently high standards across a varied events calendar.

You'll be responsible for:

* Leading and supporting a sizeable kitchen brigade
* Delivering high-quality food across multiple events
* Organising the team around busy event schedules
* Maintaining food quality, consistency and presentation
* Coaching and developing junior chefs
* Working closely with the wider kitchen and events teams
* The operation includes dedicated banqueting kitchens, a central kitchen and satellite kitchens, giving you excellent exposure to large-scale events.

About You
You may currently be a Banqueting Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up.

Ideally, you'll have experience within a large hotel, resort, events venue or cruise operation, together with:

* Strong banqueting or high-volume kitchen experience
* Experience leading and supporting a team
* Good organisation and attention to detail
* A calm, practical approach during busy services
* A genuine interest in developing your team
* The resilience and flexibility to work across a varied events operation
