General Manager - Luxury Country House Hotel
Aberdeenshire, ScotlandJWR is recruiting an experienced General Manager to lead a luxury country house hotel in Aberdeenshire, combining high-quality accommodation, destination dining, weddings and events, and championship golf.
This is an opportunity for a commercially minded hotelier who enjoys being visible in the operation, developing people and delivering memorable guest experiences.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the hotel's operational and financial performance, leading your department heads to deliver consistently high standards while growing revenue and profitability.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and develop the management team across rooms, food and beverage, weddings, conferences and events.
* Take ownership of the hotel P&L, budgets, forecasting and cost control.
* Work with sales and revenue teams to grow leisure, corporate, wedding and golf-related business.
* Strengthen service standards and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.
* Maximise the commercial potential of the hotel's dining and event facilities.
* Build strong relationships with owners, guests, suppliers and the local community.
* Maintain effective health and safety, statutory compliance and property maintenance.About You
You will be an established General Manager with experience in a quality full-service hotel, ideally within a luxury country house, resort or destination property.
You will bring:
* A proven record of improving hotel revenue and profitability.
* Strong food and beverage leadership and experience managing weddings and banqueting.
* Confident financial management and full hotel P&L accountability.
* A hands-on, approachable leadership style.
* Experience developing department heads and building engaged teams.
* A clear understanding of luxury service and the importance of a personalised guest experience.Experience within a hotel with golf facilities would be an advantage.
