* There is around 9 chefs in this team, plus Casuals and Agency chefs when needed

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Sous Chef - Banqueting to join the culinary team of a prestigious luxury hotel renowned for its exceptional events, weddings and banqueting operations.
We are seeking a talented, highly organised and hands-on Senior Sous Chef with a proven background in delivering high-quality cuisine for large-scale events, whilst maintaining the highest standards of food presentation, consistency and service.

The Role
As Senior Sous Chef - Banqueting, you will play a key role in supporting the Executive Chef and overseeing the day-to-day operation of a busy banqueting kitchen.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and motivating the banqueting brigade to deliver exceptional culinary standards.
* Overseeing food preparation and service for weddings, conferences, private dining and large-scale events.
* Delivering high-quality, fresh food across a variety of menus and event formats.
* Ensuring consistency, presentation and quality, regardless of event size.
* Managing kitchen organisation, staffing, food costs and wastage.
* Working closely with the events and operations teams to ensure seamless service.
* Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this Senior Sous Chef - Banqueting opportunity, you will need:
* Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef or experienced Banqueting Sous Chef within a quality 4 or 5-star hotel, luxury venue or prestigious event operation.
* A strong background in high-volume, quality banqueting, ideally including weddings and corporate events.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.
* A genuine passion for fresh food, quality ingredients and outstanding presentation.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, inspire and motivate a brigade.
* Sound commercial awareness, including food costs, stock control and kitchen efficiencies.
* The ability to remain calm, organised and focused during demanding services.
