Hotel Sales Director
West Midlands | £50,000 + Bonus
Independent 4-Star Country House Hotel
We're working with an established independent 4-star hotel in the West Midlands to appoint a Hotel Sales Director to lead its sales strategy and drive further growth across the business.
With 60+ bedrooms, a strong weddings and events operation, conference facilities and an established restaurant, this is a well-established hotel with a solid platform to build on.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, commercially focused sales role with real scope to develop new business and increase revenue across the corporate, conference, meetings, weddings and private events markets.
You'll work closely with the senior management team, taking ownership of the sales strategy while being very much out in the market yourself.
Your focus will include:- Winning new corporate and conference business
- Developing local and regional accounts
- Increasing Day Delegate and meetings revenue
- Building long-term relationships with key clients and prospects
- Identifying new markets, partnerships and revenue opportunities
- Carrying out face-to-face sales appointments, client visits and proactive business development
- Representing the hotel at networking and industry events
- Monitoring competitor activity and market trends
- Contributing to the wider commercial strategy and revenue growth of the hotel
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk waiting for enquiries.
It will suit someone who enjoys getting out into the market, opening doors, creating opportunities and converting relationships into business.
About You
You may currently be a Director of Sales, Senior Hotel Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or similar, ideally within a hotel, conference, events or hospitality environment.
Most importantly, you'll be commercially minded, proactive and confident in generating your own business.
You'll ideally bring:- Proven hotel sales and business development experience
- Experience of generating new business and revenue across corporate, meetings, conference or events markets
- An established network of local and regional contacts
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- The confidence to meet clients, network and represent the hotel externally
- A proactive approach to identifying and converting new opportunities
- The commercial awareness to understand how sales activity translates into revenue and profitability
Why Consider It?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of sales for an established independent hotel and make a visible commercial impact.
You'll have the freedom to develop your own sales approach, build on existing relationships and identify new opportunities across the region, working closely with the senior management team.
up to £58,000 + bonus
