Deputy General Manager
Hotel and Luxury Lodge Resort - Cornwall
JWR are excited to be working with a leading resort operator with a stunning collection of diverse properties in some of the worlds most desirable locations, looking to recruit an experienced Deputy General Manager to support the General Manager in driving the business forwards at their property in a great Cornish location.
As Deputy General Manager, you will operate and manage the overall day to day activities within the resort focusing on FOH, F&B, events & leisure, maintaining the highest levels of Guest Service at all times, ensuring a smooth Guest Journey is delivered during all points of their guests visit from arrival to departure. You will support a team of 10 HoD's and identify and maximise all sales opportunities ensuring the team to does the same.
You will already be an experienced Hotel Operations Manager, with previous experience within a 4/5-star property, looking for their next challenge.
This is a key position within the business, so the successful candidate has to be extremely hard working, dedicated and committed to go the extra mile for their guests, a real people's person, but very much a hands-on as this is not an office role.
Property boasts approx. 25 rooms and 30+ luxury lodges, with plans to add further lodges over the next 12 months, as well as a top standard restaurant, spa & leisure facilities, regularly holding multiple weddings and events through-out the year.
Required Skills:
- Experience within 4/5* operation of at least 2 years.
- Previous events management experience preferred, but not essential.
- Support in recruiting, training and developing a motivated, attentive and service driven team.
- Strong leader and developer of people
- Solid understanding of F&B, current trends and developing and driving the offer to reflect the business and its clientele.
- Oversee all departments within the hotel on a daily basis, assisting department heads in maintaining a smooth operation.
- Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety & Hygiene across all departments
- Maintain excellent guest relations at all times,
- Ensure the security of cash, stock and company property are managed
- Carry out regular audits within all departments ensuring standards are being met, and action plans completed to address any concerns.
