- Description
JWR is working with a limited service hotel in the Birmingham area with over 150+ bedrooms, onsite busy Restaurant which has a strong midweek & weekend demand. The hotel is privately owned with a franchise from a well-known and recognised brand.
You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the hotel , managing Front of house staff , maintenance, kitchen and an outsourced Housekeeping contract to ensure all guests are looked after.
You will need a very hands on approach to your management style , often helping out with an extremely busy breakfast service at the weekend for over 500 people , so a calm, organised head is required to lead your team from the front.
The Essential Skills:
* Must possess a strong Limited service branded background with at least 2 year's experience as a Hotel / General Manager within a branded hotel - will NOT suit a 1st time General Manager
* Candidates should have strong financial and commercial acumen and a good track record of delivering results
* Must possess a strong, 'hands-on' management style & have the capability to lead from the front and be a strong, credible leader
* Excellent Guest Relations exposure & experience
* A proven track record of mentoring and developing talent within an operation
* Good knowledge of the local market to be able to influence rate strategy & business decisions
