JWR are delighted to be working with a modern, 4-star hotel, situated near Cardiff, Wales. Together, we are looking for an experienced Hotel Revenue Manager to manage the day to day operation of the Reservations & Meeting & Events sales office.
Based in the hotel, we need a "hands on "Manager who can support the sales team. This is full time, permanent role & working 40 hours a week.
Having recently received a £1million refurbishment in the public areas, this hotel is privately owned with a franchise from a well-known and recognised international hotel brand.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Revenue Manager:
* With a great location close to large venues in the area, you will be managing a busy midweek business of both corporate and leisure guests. Weekend business is predominantly from weddings with this popular hotel choice.
* You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Sales Office, working with the Conference and Reservations Sales Team to maximise all sales opportunities and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings
* To ensure that forecasts are prepared and submitted to GM for approval through monitoring statistics, the pick-up patterns, lead times and business trends.
* To ensure that all pricing strategies are up to date and and changed if required, in order to maximise all revenue opportunities and be competitive in the marketplace.
* Previous experience of achieving sales and setting and understanding revenue targets & strategy is essential for the role.
