Description

Multi Site Hotel General Manager

Devon

JWR is currently recruiting for an experienced, passionate and driven Multi-site Hotel General Manager to oversee the operation of two properties in a popular Devon location.

As Multi-site Hotel General Manager, reporting to a board of directors, you will play a key part in re-positioning and driving both businesses forward by maximising occupancy, revenue, and maintaining and building on the reputation of the hotels.

As Multi-site General Manager, you will be strategically-minded, entrepreneurial, and will drive the P & L, develop strategic growth plans and spearhead the business plan to ensure success and increase revenue streams across all departments whilst ensuring the highest level of guest care at all times.

This is not a fist time GM appointment; therefore, you will have at least 10 years experience in a senior management capacity and be able to demonstrate how your skills have impacted positively and delivered results in your previous roles.

You will have had senior experience within the following environments:

  • Leisure oriented hotels & resorts at a minimum of 4-star quality
  • Experience in driving revenues across all departments
  • High quality, consistently delivered food and beverage operations with 100 plus covers
  • Independent environments with no / minimal head office support

The Client:

Independent, family owned group of hotels across Devon & Cornwall working with a specialist management consultancy to re-position the business and drive it forwards

Requirements of the role:

  • Strong leadership, entrepreneurial drive and customer focus essential
  • Recruit, motivate and inspire a team of Managers and staff. c150
  • Responsible for the operational, financial and people performance of the resort.
  • Develop & recommend strategy, change, development to the Board.
  • Review, refine and improve/ innovate on all aspects of product and delivery
  • Review and develop all systems, procedures, standards, controls and delivery mechanisms
  • Work closely with the Finance team to develop a full suite of daily, weekly and monthly performance measures and audits for financial forecasting and control.
  • Work closely with Head of Sales and Marketing to maximise total revenue from all income streams, and on building the brand and reputation throughout Cornwall, amongst key target markets and across all relevant media
  • Maximise spend on property by all guests with a particular focus on dinner, beverage sales and spa treatments
  • Ensure customer satisfaction performance and on-line reputation is outstanding and meeting performance targets
  • Deliver annual improvements in quality standards & the consistency with which they are delivered.
  • Target higher levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business

The Package / Benefits / Opportunities:

  • Salary from £65k DOE + Bonus option
