Unique Hotel, events, and leisure property - Hampshire
JWR is excited to be working with a stunning and very unique 50+ bedroom hotel located in picturesque Hampshire, looking for an ambitious Sous Chef to join the team, to deputise for the Head Chef in their absence and assist to redefine the food offerings across the hotel's multiple outlets, including 2 Rosette restaurant, weddings, conferences and leisure, all in keeping with the hotel's direction.
As Sous Chef you will have to display individual style and flair across all menus including, breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and events, creating modern, clean, healthy, well balanced & vibrant dishes using the best local & seasonal produce available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Sous Chef to join a highly successful property and stamp their identity on food offering as well as working closely with the Head Chef in creating an array of fantastic offerings for the local and wider area. You must be a good team player and communicator, and willing to develop your team.
Required Skills:
- Currently a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie within a similar role at 1 / 2 rosette level.
- To support the Head Chef in ensuring the efficient, and effective running of the kitchen team. To deputise for the Head Chef in their absence.
- Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking
- Very up to date with current food trends & styles.
- Adhere to food safety legislation
- Ensure good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction
- Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you
- Be a problem solver, ready to come up with on-the-spot solutions
- Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
- Passionate about food, standards & results
- Maintain financial budgets and targets.
Salary:
- Up to £35,000 DOE + Additional Benefits
