Historic Luxury Hotel & Spa - Chester
JWR is excited to be working with a stunning Manor House Hotel located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, looking for an ambitious Sous Chef to join the team working closely with the Head Chef in redefining the food offerings across the hotel.
As Sous Chef, you must be passionate about using the best local produce in the area to create seasonally inspired menus, experimenting with complex flavours and modern techniques while utilising produce grown on site within the kitchen garden including organic fruit and veg as well as salads and micro herbs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef looking to take the next step in their career and join a highly successful company and continue to progress and develop.
Situated within the picturesque Cheshire countryside while only a short distance away from the busy city centre making the hotel a standout destination in the area and a highly popular wedding & events venue.
Required Skills:
- Currently a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef within a similar role
- Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking
- Adhere to food safety legislation
- Ensure good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction
- Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you
- Be a problem solver, ready to come up with on-the-spot solutions
- Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
- Manage ordering and controlling of stock
- Passionate about food, standards & results
- Maintain company GP %
Salary:
