Renowned 4 Star Hotel - Coventry
JWR is excited to be working with a top hotel located on the outskirts of Coventry, looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team with the view of taking the kitchen to the next level while upholding the already exceptional reputation.
As Sous Chef you will work closely with the Head Chef to be the driving forces in providing the first class experiences the guests have come to expect and produce high-quality, locally sourced, well-balanced dishes across all menus, while motivating and developing the junior chefs in the kitchen.
This a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Sous Chef or a highly experienced Junior Sous Chef, that can display longevity within their career, to join a successful company and continue to grow as an individual and progress further in their career.
The hotel boasts 105 elegant bedrooms & 8 conference and banqueting rooms, so experience with high volume weddings and events is key for this rare opportunity.
Required Skills:
- Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking
- Similar role held as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef
- Be up to date with current food styles & trends
- Adhere to food safety legislation
- Ensure good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction
- Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Health & Safety/Food Safety laws, regulations, and legislation
- Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
- Manage ordering and controlling of stock
- Passionate about food, standards & results
- Maintain company GP %
Salary:
- £35,000 DOE + Service charge & Additional benefits
