Stunning Hotel in exceptional Cornish location
JWR is currently working with one of the top award-winning hotels in Cornwall, looking for an experienced, ambitious & passionate Head chef with drive, energy, and a background working within a busy fresh food, award winning kitchens
As Head Chef in this talented team, you will be overseeing the brigade and responsible for recruiting, training, developing, and motivating the team in delivering amazing cuisine and exceptional standards for every dish that leaves the kitchen.
Along with an incredibly talented Executive Head Chef, you will support in creating and costing stunning menus using only the finest locally sourced ingredients, whilst implementing policies and procedures and ensuring the kitchen operation always complies to the highest of standards
The position has the option of off-site accommodation, but ideally you will have good local knowledge of the area or be looking to relocate.
Required Skills:
- Currently a Head Chef within a similar role
- Minimise wastage and encourage creative thinking
- Adhere to food safety legislation
- Ensure good kitchen planning to enable a trouble-free service and customer satisfaction
- Help to promote and maintain a good working environment, leading by example and develop the team around you
- Be a problem solver, ready to come up with on-the-spot solutions
- Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual
- Manage ordering and controlling of stock
- Passionate about food, standards & results
- Maintain company GP %
Salary:
- Up to £38k + Additional Benefits & Bonus
