JWR is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef for a popular hotel based near Manchester Airport

A great opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join a fast-growing hotel investment company backed by major institutional investors with a portfolio of 12+ hotels.As a Sous Chef in this talented team you will be overseeing a team of Chefs, reporting directly to the Head Chef, where you will lead and manage the team in their absence.
The role will suit someone who has already established themselves successfully at sous chef level in a quality fresh food operation and is looking to broaden their experience and responsibilities with a view to progressing with the company in the future.
To be considered as a Sous Chef for this position, you must have experience of working with fresh food and within high volume, fast paced operations.
This is an exciting time to be part of a great brigade in an extremely busy location. Shift patterns will include a mixture of straights and splits, immediate start date available
Requirements
Experience as a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager within a similar environment.
Knowledge of Allergens & H&S practices.
Assist with the ordering and controlling of stock.
Experience of working in a fresh food kitchen environment.
Keen food developer with great attention to detail.
Creative and passionate with knowledge of current food trends.
Be motivated about delivering fantastic cuisine and driving the business forward.
Flexible and adaptable to work.
Ability to manage your workload to meet multiple deadlines and work within a busy and high-pressured environment.
Strong lines of communication with the kitchen team as well as with the management structure.
A positive approach to menu planning and development of the menus.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
