Job Title: Hotel General Manager
Salary: £75,000 + benefits, healthcare, pension, bonuses
Location: West Midlands based
Leading hotel group across the UK catering for both leisure and corporate markets.
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead a dedicated team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving revenue and profitability goals, maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the hotel.
Hotel General Manager Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to all departments, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing staff members.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.
Financial Management:
- Develop and execute annual budgets, closely monitoring revenue, expenses, and profit margins.
- Implement cost-control measures and revenue-enhancing strategies.
Guest Experience:
- Maintain the highest standards of service to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Address guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance overall satisfaction.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and standards.
- Coordinate with department heads to optimise processes and efficiency.
Sales and Marketing:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement strategies to drive revenue and occupancy levels.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key clients and partners.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Manager with a branded style hotel at 4 /5 star level.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office Suite.
