Contract Catering - Education - DevonJWR is excited to present an outstanding opportunity in collaboration with a leading, premium food service provider based in the South West. Our client is actively seeking an accomplished Chief Operations Officer to join their team. This pivotal role is dedicated to propelling the business forward, with a special emphasis on their key accounts within the Education sector. The COO Designate will transition into the full role of COO within a 6-9 month time-frame.

Job Details & RequirementsAs the Chief Operations Officer, you will collaborate closely with the senior management team to formulate and execute long-term strategies that foster the broader growth and triumph of the company. This role necessitates exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership abilities, as well as the capacity to devise innovative solutions that challenge conventional boundaries. The ideal candidate will possess substantial senior management experience within a dynamic environment.
The Chief Operations Officer should have a minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in contract catering within the Education sector. You will be responsible for devising strategies to drive growth, implementing process enhancements to optimise productivity while minimising costs, and contributing to the continuous advancement of a thriving family-owned enterprise.
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in multiple operational facets, including finance, customer service, production, and HR
- Capability to plan and manage operational processes to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity
- Proficiency in streamlining or introducing structures and roles that enhance speed and efficiency
- Solid understanding of industry regulations and legal guidelines
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics assessment
