Commercial Director/Managing Director

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving success in the global events industry? We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director/Managing Director to drive strategic growth, and maintain an esteemed reputation.

Commercial Director/Managing Director

  • A basic salary of Circa £120'000

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the strategic vision.
- Lead and inspire the senior management team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Oversee financial performance and drive business development.
- Ensure smooth operations of the convention centre.
- Cultivate and maintain key relationships with international event organisers.
- Act as the public face in promotional activities.
- Provide updates to the Board and ensure compliance with governance and regulations.

Person Specification:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles with a background in sales and marketing.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale events or venues.
- Experience in financial management and profit driving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in international business development.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

- A network of key contacts in the global events industry.
- Experience leading large, diverse teams.
