Food & Beverage Manager - Luxury 5* Hotel - Up To £43,000 + Live In Opportunities Available - East Sussex Areas
IMMEDIATE START
We are seeking an experienced and driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead the dining and events operations of a luxury hotel in the East Sussex area. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences across all food and beverage outlets, as well as overseeing conference and events services, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and profitability.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate hospitality prdofessional with strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, lounges, room service, and events.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service in line with luxury hospitality standards.
- Maintain excellent cleanliness, hygiene, and safety practices in compliance with all regulations.
Conference & Events Management
- Oversee all conference, banqueting, and events operations, including corporate meetings, weddings, and private functions.
- Work closely with the Sales and Events team to ensure seamless planning and execution of all events.
- Ensure event spaces are set up to the highest standards and meet client specifications.
- Act as the main operational point of contact for high-profile or large-scale events.
- Drive revenue through proactive upselling and maximising event opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing F&B and events team.
- Lead by example to inspire a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and guest focus.
- Manage staff rotas, performance reviews, and ongoing training initiatives.
Guest Experience
- Ensure an outstanding and memorable guest experience across dining and event services.
- Handle guest and client feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with front-of-house and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to maximise profitability across F&B and events.
- Monitor stock levels, supplier relationships, and procurement processes.
- Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to drive revenue growth in both restaurant and events business.
Menu & Concept Development
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, pricing, and seasonal offerings for both restaurant and event catering.
- Ensure menus reflect current trends while maintaining the hotel's luxury positioning.
- Drive innovation in food and beverage offerings, including bespoke event packages and experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or senior F&B leader in a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
- Strong experience in conference, banqueting, and events operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving revenue.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent experience.
- WSET or similar wine qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Experience managing weddings and large-scale events.
