JWR is delighted to be working with a stunning luxury countryside hotel in Dorset, seeking an experienced and detail-driven Head Housekeeper to lead its housekeeping operation.
This is a key leadership role within a beautifully appointed, destination-led property, offering the opportunity to shape standards, lead a dedicated team, and ensure every guest experience is delivered to the highest possible level.The Package

The Role
As Head Housekeeper, you will take full responsibility for the housekeeping function across the hotel, ensuring impeccable standards throughout guest rooms, public areas, and external spaces.
You will:- Lead, inspire and develop the housekeeping team, setting the tone for excellence
- Oversee all cleaning procedures, room presentation, turn-down service and replenishment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure luxury standards are consistently met
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, and departmental scheduling
- Maintain control of budgets, stock, and procurement of supplies and amenities
- Coordinate with external providers including laundry, linen and specialist services
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and operational procedures
- Handle guest requests, feedback and any service recovery professionally
- Work closely with senior management to drive continuous improvement across the department
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior housekeeping role within a luxury hotel environment
- A hands-on leader with exceptional attention to detail
- Highly organised with strong operational and time management skills
- Professional, polished and guest-focused in approach
- Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across all departments
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support across varied operational demands
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with PMS systems
- Full UK driving licence (due to location)
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
