JWR is delighted to be working with a leading hotel in Bath, seeking an experienced and highly organised Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping operation across this busy, guest-focused property.
This is a key senior leadership role within the hotel, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of housekeeping standards, team development and operational delivery across guest rooms and public areas. Working closely with the Hotel Manager and senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional presentation, service standards and guest satisfaction throughout the property.The Package

The Role
As Head Housekeeper, you will take full responsibility for leading the housekeeping operation, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest comfort across all areas of the hotel.
You will:- Lead and inspire the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards
- Oversee housekeeping operations across guest bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces
- Recruit, train and develop a high-performing housekeeping team
- Drive service standards, productivity and guest satisfaction targets
- Manage departmental budgets, payroll and cost controls
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering and Sales to support maintenance, VIP visits and show rounds
- Ensure all Health & Safety, Fire Safety, COSHH and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Oversee stock control, linen management and departmental purchasing
- Lead daily briefings and operational planning across the department
- Manage team performance, wellbeing and compliance with company policies
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and consistency
- Provide operational shift cover as part of the senior duty management rota
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a detail-driven and hands-on housekeeping leader with a passion for standards, people and guest experience.
You will have:- Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper or Assistant Head Housekeeper within a quality hotel environment
- Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, standards and compliance
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH and hygiene best practice
- Proven experience leading, developing and motivating teams
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and presentation standards
- Experience managing budgets, payroll and departmental productivity
- A guest-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence
- Confidence in driving standards, accountability and performance
- A hands-on, flexible approach with strong operational awareness
