ROLE: Cluster Meetings & Events Operations Manager
LOCATION: Birmingham Area
SALARY: £35,000 - 37,000 per year

Are you an experienced Meetings & Events professional who thrives in a busy hotel environment? We're looking for a hands-on Cluster Meetings & Events Operations Manager to lead the successful delivery of events across two busy 4-star hotel properties.

This is a highly visible role, responsible for ensuring seamless operational delivery across a diverse events portfolio, including conferences, meetings, weddings, gala dinners, private functions and seasonal events. Working across both hotels, you'll lead, inspire and develop your teams while maintaining exceptional guest experiences and operational standards.

Your Role:
* Oversee the day-to-day Meetings & Events operation across two hotel properties with the support of experienced Supervisors, shift leaders and the Cluster F&B Manager.
* Lead the successful delivery of conferences, meetings, weddings, banquets and seasonal events.
* Drive consistency, service standards and operational excellence across both sites.
* Manage and develop a team of full-time and casual team members, creating a positive and engaged culture.
* Work closely with the Sales, Events and Hotel Operations teams to ensure flawless event execution.
* Plan staffing levels and rotas effectively to meet business demands while supporting team wellbeing.
* Maintain strong financial awareness, controlling labour costs and maximising operational efficiency.
* Act as the operational lead on event days, ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standard.

About You
* Proven experience managing Meetings & Events operations within a hotel, conference venue or wedding venue environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, support and motivate teams.
* Comfortable managing multiple events and priorities across more than one site.
* Experienced in delivering weddings, conferences, banquets, Christmas parties and social events.
* Highly organised, proactive and guest-focused.
* Confident managing busy function bars and high-volume event service.
* Flexible and hands-on, with the ability to lead from the front when required.
