JWR is proud to be partnering with an exceptional luxury 5-star hotel to recruit an outstanding Sales Director.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales, Director of Sales & Marketing or commercially focused Commercial Director with a proven track record of driving revenue growth within luxury hotels or resorts.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the hotel's commercial strategy, develop new business opportunities and maximise revenue across corporate, leisure, MICE, events and luxury travel segments.
The Opportunity
This role requires an ambitious, commercially astute hospitality professional who understands how to increase market share, build long-term client relationships and deliver sustainable revenue growth.
Working collaboratively with Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations, you will develop and execute a robust commercial strategy that enhances profitability while maintaining the highest luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the hotel's commercial and sales strategy.
- Drive revenue growth across corporate, leisure, MICE, weddings and events.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across UK and international markets.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, luxury travel agencies, consortia and key accounts.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Work closely with Revenue Management to maximise ADR, RevPAR, occupancy and overall profitability.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and commercial performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, exhibitions and client meetings.
- Produce accurate sales forecasts, budgets and commercial reports.
- Deliver agreed revenue, profit and market share objectives.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Sales Director, Director of Sales, Director of Sales & Marketing or Commercial Director within a luxury 5-star hotel, luxury resort or prestigious country house hotel.
- A strong commercial mindset with a demonstrable history of delivering revenue growth.
- Experience across corporate sales, MICE, luxury leisure, events and business development.
- Excellent knowledge of hotel revenue management and commercial strategy.
- Outstanding negotiation, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Experience leading, motivating and developing successful sales teams.
- A passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Experience using hotel systems such as Opera Cloud, Delphi, Ideas, Salesforce or similar CRM platforms would be advantageous.
