Are you an accomplished Executive Head Chef or an experienced Head Chef ready to take on a career-defining challenge?

We are recruiting on behalf of a stunning luxury hotel nestled on the edge of the Peak District, offering an exceptional opportunity to lead the culinary direction of a beautiful destination venue renowned for its fine dining, exclusive weddings and bespoke events.

This is far more than a kitchen management role. It's an opportunity to rebuild, inspire and establish a food offering that becomes a true destination in its own right. You'll have the freedom to shape menus, develop your brigade, champion local produce and help restore the property's reputation as one of the region's finest dining destinations.

The Role

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen operation, leading by example and creating a culture built around quality, consistency and passion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading all kitchen operations across fine dining, weddings, private events and hotel dining
• Designing seasonal, innovative menus showcasing the very best local and British produce
• Recruiting, mentoring and developing a talented, motivated kitchen brigade
• Driving exceptional food standards and consistency across every service
• Managing food costs, GP, stock control and labour budgets
• Maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards
• Working collaboratively with the Operations and Sales teams to deliver unforgettable guest experiences
• Playing a key role in repositioning the hotel's food offering within the luxury hospitality market

About You

We're looking for an inspiring culinary leader who combines creativity with strong commercial awareness.

You'll ideally have:

• A proven background as an Executive Head Chef or senior Head Chef within luxury UK hotels
• Experience delivering exceptional fine dining alongside high-quality weddings and events
• Outstanding kitchen management and leadership skills
• A genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and developing talented chefs
• Strong financial understanding, including GP management, budgeting and stock control
• Calm, organised leadership with exceptional attention to detail
• The ambition and vision to help establish the venue as one of the region's leading food destinations
