Training Officer - Luxury Hotel Company - East Sussex Areas - 4 day working within Mon - Fri - Up To 30k + Benefits
We are looking for an experienced Training Officer to join a prestigious 5-star hotel company in East Sussex.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hotel or hotel restaurant professional who is ready to step away from day-to-day operations and move into a training-focused role.
You could currently be a Hotel Operations Manager, Restaurant Manager, F&B Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager or experienced hospitality supervisor looking for a better work-life balance while staying within the hotel industry.
The Role
Working closely with the HR team and operational management, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating training across the business, including:
- New starter inductions and onboarding
- Fire Safety and Health & Safety training
- Manual Handling, COSHH and Food Safety
- Hotel policies, procedures and emergency training
- Customer service and 5-star service standards
- Departmental and operational training
- Refresher and compliance training
- Supporting managers with team development and coaching
- Identifying training needs and skills gaps alongside HR and operations
- Maintaining accurate training records and compliance
About You
We are looking for someone who understands hotels from the inside out and is confident delivering classroom-based training.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a hotel or hotel restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality standards
- Experience in training, coaching or developing people or someone who wants to move into a more training role
- Confidence presenting to groups
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Safety
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional, engaging and approachable personality
Formal training qualifications are advantageous, but strong hotel operational experience and the ability to train and develop people are key.
This is a great opportunity to move away from the traditional hotel management rota while still using your hospitality experience.
