We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established hotel in East London for an ambitious and commercially minded Sales Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has built a strong background in hotel sales and is looking to progress into a management role with greater responsibility and career development.
Working closely with the senior management team, you'll be responsible for driving revenue across bedrooms, meetings and events, and corporate business while developing new client relationships and growing existing accounts.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will:
- Develop and deliver sales strategies to increase revenue across rooms, meetings, events and corporate business.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, travel agents and local businesses.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive sales activity and networking.
- Lead the day-to-day sales function, motivating and supporting the team to achieve targets.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to maximise revenue.
- Work closely with the marketing team on promotional campaigns and seasonal offers.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Produce sales forecasts, reports and performance analysis for senior management.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, exhibitions and industry functions.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least 3 years' experience in hotel or hospitality sales.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong account management and business development skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience as a Hotel Sales Executive, Senior Sales Executive or Sales Coordinator looking to take the next step into management will be highly considered.
This role would be ideal for an ambitious hotel sales professional who is ready to move into their first Sales Manager position and take ownership of a busy sales operation.
