Restaurant & Bar Manager - 4-Star Hotel
Northamptonshire | £40,000-£42,000 + Gratuities | Relocation Support
We're looking for a confident, hands-on manager to lead the restaurant and bar operation within an established 4-star hotel in Northamptonshire.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain the status quo. The hotel is investing significantly in its food and beverage operation, with a new grill restaurant concept and a full bar refurbishment planned for 2027.
You'll have the opportunity to help shape that change, raise standards and build a stronger local following.
The Role
You'll lead the restaurant and bar operation, with a strong focus on dinner service, guest experience, team development and service standards.
Working alongside established Team Leaders, you'll:
- Lead the restaurant and bar operation and be highly visible on the floor
- Raise standards across food, drinks and service
- Coach, mentor and develop the team
- Oversee the restaurant during dinner service and support breakfast operations
- Work closely with the Bar Team Leader to develop professionalism, drinks knowledge and service
- Build the hotel's local reputation and increase resident restaurant business
- Develop dinner and Sunday lunch trade
- Support the bar operation, including two event bars
- Help implement future changes and developments across the restaurant and bar
There is no Event management responsibility, allowing you to concentrate on the restaurant, bar, people and guest experience.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager with:
- Strong hotel restaurant and bar experience
- Experience within a quality hotel, premium gastropub or fine-dining environment
- Excellent food and service knowledge
- Good knowledge of wine, cocktails and drinks
- A natural ability to coach, mentor and develop people
- A visible, hands-on management style
- The maturity and flexibility to manage a mixed-age, mixed-experience team
- A genuine passion for hospitality and raising standards
You may already be a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant & Bar Manager, Assistant F&B Manager or experienced F&B Manager looking for a role where you can have more influence.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who wants to make your mark, develop a team and become part of the long-term success of the hotel.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
