JWR is currently working with an exciting collection of pubs at an early stage in their journey of expansion, looking to recruit an Exceptional Sous Chef with ambition, drive and energy, who is experienced in working within a quality, fresh food kitchen for a premium pub with rooms operation near Oxford.

Job description
Working closely with the GM, and Head Chef, as Sous Chef you will need to be hands on and want to continue to develop your skills within the kitchen whilst delivering exceptional food and service.As Sous Chef, you will produce some of the best food in the industry, showcasing your passion and enthusiasm for cooking fresh, locally sourced and quality ingredients.
You will have significant input in creating the menus with the head chef on a seasonal basis, whilst supporting in controlling costs and delivering agreed GPs, deputising in their absence.
Small collection of premium pubs with strong financial backing looking to expand.
- Experience as a Sous Chef from a quality, fresh food background, with a solid understanding of fresh ingredients & produce. A real passion for seasonal, local produce and a love of quality ingredients
- Good knowledge of Allergens and healthy balanced food offerings
- Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Run the kitchen to the highest standard at all times,
- Minimise wastage through proper stock control and menu development.
- Manage all Kitchen H&S Systems and procedures
- Manage and develop a small brigade of chefs, training and motivating them, and leading by example to inspire them.
- Work to a consistently high standard in a calm manner

- Creative and up to date with new food trends and concepts
