Are you a hands-on, solutions-driven Maintenance Manager with a track record of delivering results in busy hotel environments? A respected and well-established hotel in Derby is looking for an experienced Hotel Maintenance Manager to step into a pivotal leadership role.
About the Role:
As part of the senior management team and reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll have full control of the hotel's engineering and maintenance operations. From compliance and safety to strategic planning and team leadership, this is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
You'll be managing a 150+ bedroom property - overseeing reactive and planned maintenance, leading a team of in-house engineers, coordinating external contractors, and spearheading improvement projects to keep the hotel running like clockwork.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Lead all maintenance operations across the hotel
- Ensure systems, facilities, and services meet operational and brand standards
- Drive full compliance with Health & Safety and fire regulations
- Manage departmental budgets and deliver cost-effective maintenance solutions
- Schedule and oversee internal teams and specialist contractors
- Support and deliver CAPEX and project works
What We're Looking For:- Proven experience in hotel maintenance leadership
- In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety
- Skilled in managing teams and external suppliers
- Strong admin and reporting skills
- Budget management experience with a commercial mindset
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to handle out-of-hours callouts
- Clear communicator with a customer-focused approach
- Organised, proactive, and self-sufficient
