A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conference and Events Sales Manager to join a beautiful country house hotel in Surrey. This is a key role within the commercial team, responsible for driving and converting weddings, conferences and events while ensuring exceptional coordination and delivery across the hotel.
We are seeking a confident, organised and commercially minded individual with a proven background in hotel-based C&E sales and a strong working knowledge of OPERA PMS and Sales & Catering.
The Role
As Conference and Events Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the full sales and coordination process, ensuring enquiries are converted efficiently and events are flawlessly managed from enquiry to delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Proactively managing and converting wedding, conference and event enquiries
Managing and maintaining the function diary
Checking previous day bookings and assigning appropriately
Reviewing and managing outstanding activities
Collating, quality-checking and issuing function sheets to the hotel team
Attending and leading function sheet meetings
Managing the team rota and daily task lists
Coordinating and managing high-value bookings (£40k+)
Ensuring strong communication between sales, operations and the wider hotel team
Maintaining accurate records within OPERA PMS and Sales & Catering
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar Conference and Events or Hotel Sales Management role
Proven track record of converting weddings, conferences and events
In-depth working knowledge of OPERA PMS and Sales & Catering (essential)
Strong organisational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
A positive, proactive and outgoing personality with a genuine "can do" attitude
Commercially aware with strong business acumen and an eye for opportunity
Highly motivated, energetic and passionate about hospitality and guest experience
