Group Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Group Accountant to join a growing international hotel business with a dynamic, multi-entity structure. This role will play a key part in driving financial performance, improving reporting processes, and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the group.

You will take ownership of group-level financial reporting and consolidation activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of annual group financial statements, including multi-currency consolidations (IFRS & FRS 101 compliant)
* Quarterly bank reporting and covenant monitoring
* Monthly and group-level balance sheet reconciliations
* Intercompany reconciliations and management of shareholder loan schedules
* Budget preparation and monthly management accounts for holding entities
* Preparation of statutory returns (VAT, CIS, WHT)
* Managing internal and external audits across jurisdictions
* Supporting bank drawdown processes for development projects
* Driving process improvements and automation initiatives within finance
* Leading and delivering key strategic finance projectsRequirements of the Group Accountant
* ACCA / ICAS (or equivalent) qualified
* 2-3 years' experience in a similar group-level role within a UK hotel company
* Strong technical knowledge of IFRS / FRS 101
* Experience working in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment
* Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independentlyDesirable: Experience within a hospitality finance environment and familiarity with Sage/SUN systems
