We are currently partnering with a leading hotel group to recruit a Hotel Financial Controller for one of their flagship properties. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions of the property, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and full compliance with statutory requirements.Key Responsibilities
* Lead the finance team and manage day-to-day accounting operations
* Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets
* Deliver accurate financial reporting to senior stakeholders and ownership
* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost controls
* Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory standards
* Partner with the General Manager to drive profitability and performance
* Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial proceduresCandidate Profile
To be successful as Financial Controller, you must hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and have proven experience within the hospitality or hotel sector.
You will demonstrate:
* Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
* Experience managing finance teams within a hotel environment
* Advanced knowledge of hotel finance systems and reporting tools
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach with high attention to detail
