Production General Manager - Events Company - West End Areas - Up to 52k + Benefits
IMMEDIATE START
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Production General Manager to lead operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment supporting high-profile events. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process of producing good quality food, ensuring efficient logistics, quality control, and seamless delivery of event equipment and services.
You will play a critical leadership role, managing teams, optimising workflows, and ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency while maintaining exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily warehouse and production operations, ensuring timely preparation and dispatch of event equipment
- Implement and maintain efficient processes for inventory management, logistics, and quality control
- Ensure all production schedules align with client deadlines and event requirements
Team Leadership
- Lead, manage, and develop warehouse and production staff, including supervisors and team leads
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and development planning
Logistics & Planning
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including transport scheduling and route planning
- Work closely with event and project teams to forecast demand and allocate resources effectively
- Manage stock levels, procurement, and supplier relationships
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement safe working practices
- Promote a culture of safety across all operations
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
- Monitor KPIs and produce regular performance reports
- Support senior leadership with strategic planning and operational improvements
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior warehouse, production, or operations management role (ideally within events, hospitality, or logistics)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Must be flexible in working weekends
- Experience managing complex logistics and tight deadlines
- Solid understanding of health & safety regulations
- Financial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Background in event production or catering logistics
- Experience managing large-scale or high-volume operations
- Knowledge of fleet management and transport compliance
- Continuous improvement or lean process experience
