Salary: Up to £60,000 + Bonus + BenefitsAn exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially minded hotel professional to join a highly regarded independent 4-star luxury boutique hotel as Assistant Hotel Manager.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced Rooms Division Manager or Hotel Operations Manager looking to take the next step in their career and move into a senior hotel leadership position within a quality-driven independent environment.
Working closely with the Hotel Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of guest experience, operational excellence, and team performance across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Hotel Manager in the overall management of the hotel operation.
- Lead and develop department heads and operational teams to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the performance of front office, housekeeping and maintenance
- Drive service standards, operational efficiency, and departmental profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, payroll control, and cost management.
- Act as Duty Manager and lead the operation in the absence of the Hotell Manager.
- Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team to ensure a seamless guest journey across all departments.
The Ideal Candidate
- Currently working as a Rooms Division Manager or Hotel Operations Manager within a quality hotel environment.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating at Rooms Division Manager or Operations Manager level.
- Strong experience managing Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Office departments.
- Candidates currently working solely as a Front Office Manager will not be considered.
- Previous experience within independent hotels is preferred
- Good understanding of Food & Beverage operations and their impact on the overall guest experience.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
- Commercially aware with strong financial and operational acumen.
- Passionate about luxury hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
