An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fundraising and Bid Manager to join a respected organisation within the animal and conservation charity sector.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK and is ideally suited to a proven fundraising professional with demonstrable experience securing income through grant applications, bid writing, tenders, sponsorship, and charitable partnerships specifically within an animal welfare, zoo, conservation, or wildlife environment.
This is not a first-step fundraising role. The successful candidate will already have a strong track record of delivering successful funding outcomes and developing long-term funding relationships within the sector.
The Role
- Lead and manage the organisation's fundraising and bid strategy
- Identify, develop, and secure new funding opportunities across grants, trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships
- Write compelling funding bids, tenders, and grant applications
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders, charitable organisations, and commercial partners
- Monitor fundraising performance and pipeline activity
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to support long-term organisational growth and sustainability
- Represent the organisation professionally within the charity and conservation sectors
About You
- Proven background within animal welfare, zoo, wildlife, or conservation charities as Bid Manager
- Strong experience in fundraising, bid writing, and tender management
- Demonstrable success securing significant funding and partnerships
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic, commercially aware, and highly organised
- Able to work independently within a remote-based role
