We're delighted to be recruiting for a Director of Sales to join a beautiful privately owned venue in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hotel sales professional who thrives in a proactive role, loves meeting people, and enjoys seeing ideas turn into memorable events.
Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team and reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving wedding and event revenue into the operation.
Offering a genuine work-life balance, the role is hybrid, with two days on-site and three days working from home or attending client appointments, networking events and wedding fairs.
The Role
As Director of Sales, you'll be the face of the venue within the local and regional weddings and events market, building new relationships, nurturing existing clients and creating opportunities to maximise revenue.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing proactive sales strategies to drive wedding and events revenue
- Building strong relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients and event organisers
- Representing the venue at wedding fairs, networking events and industry showcases
- Conducting venue show rounds and client meetings
- Managing the sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to conversion
- Identifying new business opportunities and local partnerships
- Working closely with the operational team to ensure an exceptional customer journey
- Reporting on sales activity, forecasting and business performance as part of the Senior Leadership Team
About You
You'll already have a successful background within proactive hotel sales and genuinely enjoy building relationships with clients.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced within Hotel Sales, with a strong focus on Weddings & Events
- Naturally personable, approachable and confident communicating with clients and colleagues alike
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Commercially aware with a proven ability to grow revenue
- Comfortable networking, attending exhibitions and representing the business externally
- Highly organised with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Able to work independently whilst contributing to the wider leadership team
Package
- £45,000-£50,000 basic salary
