Are you an experienced Sous Chef looking for a stable role where you can make a real impact as a strong second-in-command?

We're recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen leadership team at a busy 4-star hotel in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef who enjoys leading from the front, maintaining high standards and supporting the Head Chef across restaurant service, weddings, conferences and private events.

This role would suit a chef who values stability, enjoys being part of a professional kitchen environment and wants a long-term opportunity without the pressure of constantly chasing the next promotion.

The Role
* Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help lead the daily kitchen operation, ensuring consistent food quality, smooth service and a motivated brigade.
* With a busy events calendar, including weddings, conferences and private functions, you'll need strong banqueting experience and the ability to deliver high-volume service while maintaining excellent standards.

Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as a No.2 to the Head Chef and supporting the kitchen team.
* Leading, motivating and developing chefs through clear direction and hands-on leadership.
* Delivering exceptional food across restaurant, events, weddings and conference operations.
* Maintaining food quality, presentation and kitchen standards.
* Supporting stock control, GP management, ordering and food safety procedures.
* Working closely with Front of House teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.

We're looking for a Sous Chef who:
* Has previous experience within a hotel, banqueting, events or high-volume restaurant environment.
* Has experience delivering weddings, conferences and large-scale events.
* Is a confident kitchen leader who can motivate and organise a team.
* Takes pride in standards, consistency and professional service.
* Has a hands-on approach and enjoys being involved during service.
* Is reliable, organised and looking for a stable long-term role.

Working Hours
A great opportunity for a chef looking for improved work-life balance:
* Mainly evening shifts: 1pm - 9:30pm
* Occasional breakfast shifts: 5:30am - 2pm (supported by a dedicated breakfast chef)
* Occasional mid shifts when required
* No regular split shifts
