Food And Beverage Manager
Hampshire | c. £45,000 + Benefits
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join a well-established, full-service country house hotel.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely enjoys being visible on the floor, leading from the front and creating an F&B operation where quality, consistency and commercial performance go hand in hand.
The hotel has a diverse F&B operation spanning restaurant, bar, conferences, weddings, events and leisure, so this is a role that will suit someone comfortable operating in a busy, high-volume environment without compromising on standards.
The Role
Reporting into the senior hotel leadership team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the Food & Beverage operation, leading a sizeable team and ensuring guests receive consistently high levels of service.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating and developing the F&B team through a highly visible, hands-on management style
- Driving service standards across restaurants, bars, conferences, weddings and events
- Ensuring the operation delivers both volume and quality, particularly during busy periods
- Creating a positive service culture where colleagues understand what great hospitality looks like
- Managing departmental rotas, labour costs and productivity
- Taking ownership of F&B budgets, GP performance and commercial targets
- Driving revenue through effective up-selling and maximising every guest opportunity
- Managing stock, purchasing, wastage and cost controls
- Working closely with the Kitchen and wider hotel teams to ensure a joined-up guest experience
- Reviewing guest feedback and turning it into meaningful operational improvements
- Recruiting, coaching and developing the next generation of F&B talent
- Maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness, food safety and compliance
- Supporting weddings, conferences and larger events where a strong operational presence is essential
About You
We're looking for an experienced hotel Food and Beverage manager who understands that great results come from great people and consistent leadership.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as an F&B Manager, Deputy F&B Manager or senior F&B leader within a busy hotel
- A background managing high-volume operations without losing sight of quality
- Strong experience across multiple F&B outlets and events
- Excellent people leadership and team development skills
- A genuinely hands-on approach - this is not a desk-based role
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, including GP, payroll, stock and budget management
- A passion for service and an eye for detail
- The confidence to challenge standards and drive accountability
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm and positive when the operation is busy
The Opportunity
Salary: c. £45,000 + excellent benefits
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant hotel F&B operation and make a genuine impact on service standards, team culture and commercial performance.
If you're an F&B leader who enjoys being at the heart of the operation, developing people and delivering hospitality that guests remember, we'd love to hear from you.
