JWR is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an internationally recognised hotel brand for an experienced Hotel Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established hotel with over 130 bedrooms, leading the day-to-day operation while delivering exceptional guest experiences and commercial performance.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across all departments, ensuring brand standards are consistently achieved and supporting the continued development of a high-performing team.
The Role
As Hotel Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the General Manager in the overall leadership of the hotel.
- Leading the day-to-day operation across all hotel departments.
- Driving exceptional guest satisfaction and service delivery.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing Heads of Department and departmental teams.
- Ensuring brand standards, operational procedures and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Monitoring financial performance, labour costs and departmental profitability.
- Working closely with the sales, revenue and finance teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Managing recruitment, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintaining a visible presence throughout the hotel and leading by example.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Hotel Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Deputy General Manager or a senior operational leader within a branded hotel environment.
- Experience managing hotels with 130+ bedrooms.
- A strong understanding of front office, housekeeping, food & beverage and overall hotel operations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with a passion for developing teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour costs and operational KPIs.
- Experience working within recognised hotel brand standards.
- A proactive, hands-on management style with exceptional communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering consistently high operational standards.
