Hotel General Manager
Weymouth, Dorset
JWR is recruiting for an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead a busy coastal hotel operation in Weymouth.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on hotel leader who enjoys being visible in the business, developing management teams and driving strong operational and commercial performance.Package
Salary Up to £43,600 DOE
£6k OTE annual bonus + company benefits
Live-in accommodation available if required.The Role
As General Manager, you will:- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the hotel
- Lead across accommodation, food and beverage, guest services and entertainment
- Coach and develop Heads of Department and Deputy Managers
- Drive revenue, profitability and effective cost control
- Manage labour, margins, stock and operational expenditure
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation
- Be a visible presence throughout the hotel and engage regularly with guests
- Take ownership of guest feedback and service recovery
- Oversee recruitment, training and succession planning
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety, food safety and company procedures
- Deliver against agreed operational, financial and guest satisfaction KPIs
Requirements
We are looking for:- Previous Hotel General Manager or strong senior hotel management experience
- Strong operational knowledge across rooms and food and beverage
- Good commercial and financial understanding
- Proven experience leading and developing managers
- Strong labour and cost-control experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach
- A visible and hands-on leadership style
The role is full-time, working approximately 48 hours per week including weekends.
