JWR is recruiting confidentially for an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead an established coastal hotel operation in Cornwall.
This is a hands-on position requiring a strong operational leader who can develop the existing management team, improve standards and drive strong commercial performance.

Package
Salary up to £43,600 DOE
£6k OTE annual bonus + company benefits
Live-in accommodation available if required.

The Role
As General Manager, you will:

• Take full responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the hotel
• Lead across accommodation, food and beverage and guest services
• Coach and develop Heads of Department and Deputy Managers
• Drive revenue and control labour, margins and operational costs
• Maintain excellent standards of service, cleanliness and presentation
• Be a visible presence throughout the hotel
• Take ownership of guest feedback and complaints
• Oversee recruitment, training and succession planning
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety and food safety
• Deliver against agreed financial, operational and guest satisfaction KPIs

Requirements
We are looking for:

• Previous Hotel General Manager or substantial senior hotel management experience
• Strong rooms and food and beverage experience
• Good commercial and financial understanding
• Proven experience developing management teams
• Strong labour and cost-control knowledge
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A practical, calm and solutions-focused approach
• A visible and supportive leadership style

The role is full-time, working approximately 48 hours per week including weekends.
